Directions
If you think Mapquest has all the answers to your navagational needs, think again. Our little county is just now in the process of getting 911 addressing and our rural route address stands Mapquest on its ear. When we receive our new address, Mapquest will likely be a good solution, till then, here are easier directions.
From Harrisburg / Lancaster and points east - Follow Rt. 322 west through Harrisburg following signs to State College. About 30 miles west of Harrisburg, get off at the Mifflintown / Route 35 exit. Follow route 35 south through Mifflintown / Mifflin for approximately 25 miles. Along the way you will pass through a series of small villages. In order they are: Walnut, Nook, Reed's Gap, Peru Mills, and finally Cross Keys. These are very small villages and easy to miss. Our farm is 3/4 of a mile past Cross Keys. A large red barn is on left side of the road and a white frame house is on the right. If you enter Huntington County you've gone too far.
From State College and points north - Follow Rt. 322 east to the Mifflintown / Rt. 35 exit. Continue south on Rt. 35 as explained above.
From Chambersburg and points south - Follow Rt. 641 north into Path Valley to Rt. 75. Turn right onto Rt. 75 north. Continue on Rt. 75 for approximately 15 - 20 miles. After passing through the village of Concord you will come to another small village called Waterloo. Immediately after Waterloo, turn left. A sign there points left and says "Cross Keys 5 miles". This a small, rural road that will bring you over the ridge. Go straight through the first stop sign. The second stop sign will be the junction with Rt. 35. Turn left onto Rt. 35. Our farm is 3/4 of a mile from the intersection. Red barn is on the left, white frame house is on the right. If you enter Huntingdon County you've gone too far.
From Huntingdon and points west - Follow Rt. 22 east to Rt. 522 south at Mount Union. Continue on Rt. 522 south to Shade Gap. At Shade Gap, turn left onto Rt. 35 north. Continue on Rt. 35 north into Juniata County. Our farm is about 1 1/2 miles passed the county line. Our barn is the second red barn on the right past the "Fredrick's Dream Farm" sign. Our white frame house will be on the left and our red barn is on the right. If you pass the Cross Keys Church of God, you've gone too far.
