PASA Field Day on Sustainable Woodlot Managment

On Friday, November 6,  Blue Rooster Farm hosted a PASA Field Day on Sustainable Woodlot Manangement.  Roy collaborated with several friends and associates on a day that covered topics such as selecting seed trees, chainsaw safety, tree felling, skidding logs with horses, ATVs, and tractors, cutting logs into lumber using a portable Wood Mizer,  planting ginseng and innoculating logs for mushrooms.  We had incredible weather and a great turnout.   What an interesting and engaging group of farmers and sustainability enthusiasts.  Thanks to everyone who participated in making it an eventful and memorable day.
